Update WMS preferences
Each SKU can have warehouse preferences in combination with the owning business. Preferences that can be edited are
- Safety stock (quantity)
- Reorder point (quantity)
- Optimal stock level (quantity)
- Maximum stock level (quantity)
- Allowance of backorders (yes / no)
- Preorder up to (date)
- Limit to a single position (yes / no)
These preferences can be edit trough the interface but when you need to edit a long list of items this might be burdensome. Therefore these parameters can also be updated through a batch job.
Select the batch job
- Go to Bulk actions (under Processes)
- Select the WMS tab
- Click Start bulk action under the proper action
- Select the proper warehouse (that needs settings changed)
- Select the business (that needs settings changed)
- No choose whether you want to use an existing dataset, paste from a spreadsheet or use the CSV integration
- For this guide we will go ahead and use the Spreadsheet option
- The first line of the shown spreadsheet will represent the names of the columns, in order to recognise them in the next step
- In this guide we will only change the optimal stock level for a set of sku's
- In the first column we type SKU (this is required field for this batch job)
- In the next column we type Optimal stock
- From line onwards we can now paste the data accordingly. Our data table now looks something like:
- Click next
- Now you can review your inserted data (first 25 lines)
- Click Confirm
- Attach all columns in the pasted data to the columns that are predefined, for this import it would look something like (leave all the columns empty that are not in the dataset)
- Click Validate
Your inserted data is tested for validity - Click Execute bulk action
